A Try At Having Badge And Growl Support In Fluid

FriendFeed, Fluid, Growl

Created this little script, so i could have Growl notifications from Fluid SBB running FriendFeed. It works for the real-time version of FriendFeed (https://friendfeed.com/realtime?embed=1), haven't tested it with any others.

I'm not very used to JavaScript or jQuery, which was used for DOM parsing, so improvements and advices are welcome.

To clear the badge just click on the top blue bar, it should get it cleared.

Hope you find it useful and fortunately it won't eat your cat.

Just an update to the previous post about Fluid User Style For FriendFeed.

The CSS are now reduced, there's a packed and a readable version. Also added a user style for the real time version (Mini-Window).

iPhone version Pattern: *friendfeed.com/iphone/*

Real Time Pattern: *friendfeed.com/*realtime?embed=1

And the User Styles

Fluid User Style For FriendFeed

FriendFeed

Just finished this FriendFeed (iPhone Version) user style for Fluid. Basically it's the original iphone.css fromFriendFeed with some changes to make it look more like Twitterrific.

Of course i could have just added what i needed to the user style and remove the rest os the css, but i started out of nothing and wasn't expecting to get it right. I should have marked the modifications (/me blushes). Hope no one minds :)

Google Apps Getting Some Labs Goodies!?

When i logged into gmail (google apps version) today i was presented a new look, but couldn't find a themes tab. No problem, i'm happy with the fresh aspect.

Another goodie was, Gears support available, meaning offline email.

With all the new stuff available for Google Apps i decided to try and log on Google Reader with the Google Apps account. Good news, it worked :)

I'm quite pleased, i was waiting on some of these features for some time!

iColours.ca Cover Installed And Looking Good

After all i managed to get the smiley on the MacBook sooner than Sunday!

It wasn't hard to get it done, just a bit scary. I always get worried opening laptops. Anyway, it was a rather easy process.

Part one (The need for patience):

Hard Spot

The worst part was removing the monitor screws, they are really hard to access with a normal screwdriver. I believe one can find a small bended screwdriver.

Sometime ago i found iColours and liked the concept. It allows you to customize your MacBook by replacing the the apple on the back of the screen. Check iColours.ca!

Unfortunately i won't be able to install it until Sunday :/ i'm loaded with college work. Anyway, i'm going for the yellow.

Free Book - Zend Framework Book: Surviving The Deep End

Zend Framework Book: Surviving The Deep End is a free book still in development. The objective is to tutor the user in a learn as you go manner.

It all started out from a series of posts entitled An Example Zend Framework Blog, which were very useful for many users starting on Zend Framework. The idea of changing those posts into a book came up, which was a very good one!

The book came to life and the progress of it can be followed here Zend Framework Book: Surviving The Deep End. The second chapter just made it’s way into the book.
